Services I offer

I am happy to give consideration to projects including • book illustration • commercial illustration • book cover illustration & design • educational publishing • portraiture (pencil, watercolour, mixed media or digital) • pet portraiture (pencil, watercolour, mixed media or digital) • greeting card design • wedding and other invitations • and more.
If you are a self-publisher, I also offer typesetting services and can recommend a copy-editor and provide advice.

Not Sure What To Say?

If you're after a quote, it helps to give me some information about your project, such as:

  • exactly what you're after

    • a picture book, a portrait, illustrations for a chapter book, a book cover, etc

  • How many illustrations you think you will want

    • if it's a picture book, is it the standard 32 pages, or a different number?

  • What style

    • is there a particular image on my website that you like?

  • What type of project it is

    • such as your theme – is it fantasy? Historical? Everyday?

  • What you're going to be using the project for

    • is it commercial or private? Are you doing a print run for family, or selling it in stores?

  • Your budget, your deadline, and anything else you think is important.

The more you tell me, the easier it is for me to give you a quote, and the less likely it is that I will have to waste your time emailing you back to ask lots of questions. I will respect your confidentiality, but I do need information before I can put together a quote. I look forward to hearing from you!

And just a tip: If you ask an illustrator (or anyone) for advice, and they answer, it is nice to just say thanks. It lets us know that our time has been appreciated, and that our email got through to you.
